A Perfect Day

Louise, Miles I woke up bright and early to get the most out of what was going to be a long, but absolutely perfect day that started in Dyrehavsbakken forest among the beauty of the changing Autumn leaves, prize horses out for a ride, wild deer, and children and dogs aplenty!  One of my favourite things about Denmark is how many gorgeous forests we have.  I don't think you can ever grow tired of the peacefulness and natural serenity they encompass, the different colours, sounds (or lack-thereof) and the feeling that you're just alone (in a non-creepy, safe way).  A few kilometres later our rumbling bellies guided us through the enchanted forest all the way to a ridiculously good lunch at a cafĂ© out by a nearby harbour.  Louise had a pizza with parma ham and rocket and I had one of the best chicken curry sandwiches of my life over a glass of wine.

From there we went home, changed clothes, and went to meet Caroline at Hotel Sanders where she, incase I haven't mentioned it once, twice, three times by now, IS THE NEW RESTAURANT MANAGER!! Louise also officially closed on her amazing new flat in Copenhagen earlier that morning so of course it was bubbles all around!! I was given a private tour of the entire hotel after drowning in a puddle of my own drool over their Truffle Bikini Sandwich (if you go--YOU MUST try this!) and Telissa even joined for a bottle of wine and a catchup convo.  We were all thiiisss close to moving in man, it was so cosy! The ambiance, food, wine and service is incredible and you can just feel that every detail has been thought through and executed with such heart.  If you're in the Copenhagen area, pop in here for a cup coffee, a phenomenal meal or the stay of your life.
