It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

While I'm holding off on decorating or partaking in any Christmas-related activities apart from the absolute necessary (such as present wrapping) before I'm with Lina, the rest of London is in full gear with decorating for the occasion.  Our boys at The Kings Head are of course, no exception to this.

Following a lovely, celebratory & memorialising 55th. birthday dinner for Ricardo's Mama Anna, who passed away on the 12th. of November this year just before both Ricardo's & her birthday (we wanted to make sure she somehow still made it to 55...), Sofia, Emma & myself went to check out what they'd done with the courtyard when they said it was to be their "decorating day".  When I saw the fake snow and the Christmas trees, I nearly slipped out of sheer excitement (okay, fair warning, fake snow can be slippery ladies and gentlemen)!!!!!

I LOVE CHRISTMAS. UGH. CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS!
...okay, I'm done now.

The one holiday-related thing that I'm not very good at, or overly excited over doing is wrapping presents.  I feel like I used to be quite good at it but these days I just don't seem to have the patience to perfect gifts the way I'd like need them to be (OCD doesn't help) with the wrapping paper cut out straight, corners nicely tucked in, no wrinkles or crinkles or weird bows...but I did it anyways!!!

It took bloody four hours but I sat myself down, put on The Originals and tried my best to make my Fulham peep's presents presentable.  The excess of ribbon and the creative turn they all individually took was really just to cover up my horrible wrapping skills but all-in-all, I actually think they turned out quite nicely!!

What are some of your favourite things about the holiday season?  Are you more of a wrapper or a shove-in-a-gift-bag kinda human? :P (I know which one I normally am but...)

Have a good weekend all!
xxEm
