Lean In

I just finished reading "Lead In: Women, Work, And The Will To Lead" by Sheryl Sandberg and I couldn't not recommend it! My Father was the one who originally recommended it to be so I'm passing the torch onwards to anyone with an interest in business and/or feminism coming from a humorous and honest perspective from someone who's experienced a little bit of it all.

Some bits from the book that really stood out, struck a chord, &/or inspired me were:

"Prioritise potential for fast growth & the mission of a company above your title."

"The most common way people give up their power is thinking they don't have any."-Alice Walker

"Miscommunication is always a two-way street."

"Authenticity over perfection."

"Setting obtainable goals is the key to happiness.  Instead of perfection, we should aim for sustainable and fulfilling.  The right question is not 'Can I do it all?' but 'Can I do what's most important for me and my family?'" (

"Every job will demand sacrifice.  The key is to avoid unnecessary sacrifice."

"Leadership is about making others better as a result fo your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absence."
