Oscar 2014: Outfit Picks

What would the Oscars be, much like any other massive Hollywood award ceremony, without the extra emphasis on the fashion.  Who wore who? Which colours were all the rage? Who rocked the baby bump the best? Sparkles or LBD's? Silk or Chiffon? My top picks for the 86th. annual Academy Awards are as no particular order because I'm unable to put any of these girls above/below the others.

1.)  The beautiful and glowing Elsa Pataky wearing this stunning teal Elie Saab.  The dress emphasises the bump (there's room for two!!) in an elegant way that not only elongates her legs but also emphasises her thin and toned figure.  The colour suits her skin-tone perfectly, as do the simple accessories that let the dress, and the bump, do all the talking for this radiant Spanish model/actress.  Chris Hemsworth is one lucky man!!

2.) The classic hollywood bombshell, Kate Hudson, gives Old Hollywood a nod in her light and airy Atelier Versace gown.  This metallic, iridescent dress is a knockout all on it's own but the cape detail did me in.
P.S. As if I didn't love this look enough already, her second dress of the night for the Vanity Fair Oscars party actually blew my mind.

3.) Sandra Bullock can do no wrong.  She is the epitome of classy and beautiful in this dark blue gown with pleated detail cascading downwards.  The dress hugged her every curve, flattering her figure perfectly.  As phenomenal as the dress, the Lorraine Schwartz ear cuff, and the side-swept curls were, I couldn't help but notice how stunning her eyes looked!! The brown and blue mixture compliments the entirety of the look and makes her eyes pop.

4.)  Kristen Bell officially became my hero when she chose to squeeze a burrito in her clutch (not pictured) while gracefully walking down the red carpet in her detailed Roberto Cavalli dress.  Its chiffon and floral-esc. texture make it a a brilliantly unexpected, but sufficiently chosen selection for Spring.  Her bright pink pout and Piaget jewellery suit it's greyish shade almost as well as her beau, Dax Shepard, did her!!
